Within the framework of the celebration of the Federalist Alliance Meeting, the official launch of the InvestinMx platform was held, which aims to position Mexico internationally as a reliable and safe destination for foreign and domestic investment.

The states of Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas participated in the creation of the Invest in Mexico Facilitation Board AC (IMFB). InvestinMx is a digital platform (www.investinmx.com) that, in addition to attracting investment, will enable the ten states to collaboratively promote the country, position Mexico in the international trade arena, coordinate a joint promotion strategy, and develop and promote productive linkages.

During the presentation to the media, Roberto Russildi, Secretary of Economy and Labor of the State of Nuevo Leon, pointed out that this platform has the mission of positioning the states and the Mexico brand at an international level, which is why they decided to articulate this joint promotion strategy to boost trade agreements and investment projects that generate employment and economic development.

He also said that they have been working with different international organizations such as the Pacific Alliance, ProPeru, ProChile, ProColombia, National Index, the European Economic Community (EEC), and Select USA.

Furthermore, he announced that the intention is to open representative offices in Asia, Europe, and the United States, to have a space to provide information to potential investors.

For his part, Carlos Alberto García González, Secretary of Economic Development of Tamaulipas, emphasized that the economic development secretaries that make up the Federalist Alliance are seeking for Mexico to project itself once again as one of the most important economies in the world.

"We want to consolidate ourselves as an exporting country, one that is reliable and attractive for business," said the secretary.

He added that the remaining 22 states are invited to join this platform to promote Mexico in the world jointly.

Jesús Melgoza Velázquez, head of Michoacán's Economic Development Department, emphasized that by becoming a civil association, this agency's actions and projects will have continuity "beyond one administration."

Walter Alejandro Oldenbourg O., Colima's Secretary of Economic Development, shared that business organizations' participation is also a key element in InvestinMx.

Finally, Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development of Guanajuato, commented that this investment platform is expected to generate growth above the national average.

PROMOTING MEXICO

Daniel Céspedes, from Mexico Industry, developer of the InvestinMx platform, explained that this tool would promote Mexico's strategic and competitive advantages and, more specifically, those of the ten regions that make up the Federalist Alliance.

"Mexico is not only positioned among the 15 most important economies in the world but also has a privileged geographic location," he said.

He mentioned that the platform would be the meeting point where information on infrastructure, highly qualified human capital, technological advances and advanced manufacturing, geographic location, climate, trade agreements, among others, will be available.
