The investment will be allocated to the plants in Querétaro, Aguascalientes and Monterrey

In order to expand its production capacity in Mexico, Bosch will invest 10,000 million pesos during 2022.

The company indicated that this financing will be used mainly for three projects : the expansion of the Querétaro plant , where the boxes for the vehicle power steering system and warehouse are produced; while in Aguascalientes they will increase their capacity to manufacture integrated power brakes for the vehicle stability control system; and in Monterey , an amount will be allocated to the construction of a new refrigerator plant.

With this investment, it is intended to generate around 2,000 new jobs in the coming years . All this injection of capital is focused on electrification and towards climate neutrality, promoting sustainable mobility .

Gonzalo Simental, vice president of finance for Bosch Mexico, commented that in general, in the last 10 years Bosch has invested around 2,000 million pesos, but recently they have increased the amount and over the course of the year, they will be able to locate other opportunities in the country.

For the German company, Mexico appears as a strategic nation , mainly due to its local suppliers, with whom they have the support to promote the trend towards electrification, modifying environmentally friendly mobility schemes.

SALES IN 2021

In 2021, Bosch in Mexico increased its sales by 7.5%, compared to 2020, reaching its levels prior to the health contingency due to Covid-19.

This positive result has been due to the performance of its different business areas in the country, as well as the capitalization of opportunities in the world.

For its four business sectors, which are: mobility solutions, industrial technology, consumer goods, energy and construction technology , the suppliers they have in the country play an important role , amounting to 1,500 companies.
