Marco del Prete , Secretary of Sustainable Development in the state , reported that there are currently 65,000 Queretans working formally in the automotive or transportation equipment manufacturing industry .

This subsector represents 23% of the total value of the production of the manufacturing industry , which, in 2020 and despite the pandemic, generated 78.403 million pesos.
