Dana begins construction of its plant in Escobedo; They invest 40 million dollars

Dana, one of the leading companies in the manufacture of transmission system parts for motor vehicles in the region, began the construction of its new plant in Pocket Park Escobedo, owned by GP Desarrollos, located in the municipality of Escobedo, Nuevo León. 

The first phase of the factory will have 14,184 square meters and will have 14,184 for future expansion . 

Vicente Castillo , Country Leader of Dana Incorporated, reported that, in the first phase, they are making an investment of 40 million dollars . In five years, they foresee a total investment of 120 million dollars. 

At the plant, automatic shafts will be manufactured for its various customers. Many of them, intended for the transition to e-mobility . For the first stage, they plan to generate around 350 jobs .

Dana has a presence in 33 countries since 1904. It has 38,000 employees in its 141 production plants around the world. During 2020, the company's sales were around $ 7.1 billion. 

Engineer José María Garza Treviño , president of GP Desarrollos and GP Construcción, expressed his gratitude to his team, that of the automotive company and the state government. He also highlighted the competitive advantages that have made international companies settle in the industrial park.
