Faurecia, a Forvia Group company, inaugurated its first Combo Plant to produce seats and interiors , which is installed in the NEXXUS Airport Industrial Park in Nuevo León.

For the creation of this complex, an investment of 147 million dollars was generated , it will have a production division and a training division for all its human capital.

They will also have a design and technology area focused on the use of renewable energy , with the aim of moving towards CO2 neutrality . In addition, they will seek that this plant has the LEED certification in Silver grade.

Of the total capital injection, 75 million dollars go to the interiors division , including machines, which will start with the installation of panels and production lines for other models and interiors; while the remaining 72 million dollars are for the division of seats .

This is the first shared plant installed in the country by Faurecia , which is focused on promoting design and technology for the mobility of the future , with plastic injection and ultrasonic welding processes.

One of the reasons why the French company decided to come to Monterrey is because of the privileged and strategic location to improve the Mexican automotive industry.

The Seating/Interior Combo Plant will be generating more than 1,500 direct jobs and 300 indirect ones. In its first phase, it has an area of 20,500 square meters and 15,000 square meters may be added in the second stage .
