Flex invests 100 million dollars to expand its operations in Jalisco

Flex confirmed the expansion of its automotive industry operations in Jalisco, with the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility of 26,000 square meters.

This center will serve to manufacture advanced electronic components that will accelerate the era of electric and autonomous vehicles, for which they will be investing 100 million dollars and generating 3,000 jobs.

Enrique Alfaro, governor of the state of Jalisco, stressed that the difference between the Federal Government and the Government of Jalisco is that, in the entity, the public and private sectors work together to detect areas of opportunity in economic matters that allow growth to be promoted .

“We can design a long-term development plan together with the entire sector. We are interested in understanding what we would have to do to be part of the solution to the problem in the semiconductor supply chain, we want to see how far Jalisco can play an important role in that part”. 

Also, during the activities of the second day of the Silicon Valley work tour, HP , which has been present in Jalisco for 40 years, announced the generation of 400 highly specialized and highly paid jobs , and will work together to define the plan. long and medium term investment.
