Fujikura is a Japanese company dedicated to the manufacture and development of energy and telecommunications product systems for the automotive industry.

In their product catalog they also have devices for optical fibers, such as cutters and splicers. Currently, it has three plants in the country, distributed in different states, including Querétaro, Puebla and Guanajuato.

Due to the increased demand for its products, the company announced that it will make a double investment  this year to open two plants in Coahuila, which will be located in the cities of Piedras Negras and Múzquiz .

The main objective is to increase its production capacity at the national level and promote the creation of jobs in the region , so its main activities will focus on the production of cables and harnesses for the automotive sector.

The amount to be invested will reach 21.8 million dollars and will generate 4,257 new jobs  in the North and Carboniferous Region.

"We held a meeting with the state managers, where we told them that the two factories are already in operation, the only thing missing is the workforce and we established the route to follow to complete that part and start distributing our products" , commented José Juan Ortiz, vice president of manufacturing at Fujikura,

He concluded that this growth of the organization is considerable and adapts to the internal vision of turning it into the best brand of all through jobs, services provided to the staff and its actions to support the community, for which he assured that Coahuila will become Fujikura's house.
