The inauguration of the Siete Leguas Automotive company and the start-up of the new Tecopress SPA plant, represent private investments of 52 million dollars and 900 new jobs for the Gomez Palacio municipality in Durango.

“This investment enables 600 direct jobs to be offered, plus those that are generated indirectly thanks to the confidence of Jose Juan Marcos Gonzalez, Chairman of the Board of the Siete Leguas Group, to invest 17 million dollars in Gómez Palacio,” said the municipal president Marina Vitela Rodriguez during the inauguration of the company. In addition, he took the opportunity to report on the start-up of the new Tecopress SPA high-pressure aluminum injection plant, whose investment of 35 million dollars will generate 300 jobs in the municipality.

Jose Juan Marcos Gonzalez said that Durango has everything it needs to serve the automotive industry: qualified workforce, proximity to the United States border and auto parts production areas such as Bajío, Saltillo and Monterrey. For his part, Agustin Gonzalez Lopez, CEO of Tecopress, said that he never had any doubts about installing the plant in the municipality of Durango and that it is precisely because of its location that the state will make his company a success.
