Heineken Mexico innovates in the country with the announcement of its new can manufacturing plant in Meoqui, Chihuahua, thereby becoming the brewer's most important circular economy hub , due to the growing demand for canned products.

Mónica Bichara, Vice President of Corporate Affairs of Heineken Mexico, confirmed the investment of 1,800 million pesos that will be allocated to the construction of this factory as part of its operational integration strategy, through which the supply of its canned products will be strengthened. .

“This investment endorses the confidence that the company has in Mexico at a global level; This is how we continue to bet as a company on the growth of the market and to continue providing moments of joy to our consumers”, he mentioned.

Based on its transversal strategy " Provide a Better World ", the Mexican brewery expands its green footprint with this plant that will be governed by the principles of Green-by-Design (green design ), which means that each concept of the investment will prioritize solutions friendly with nature and sustainable technology , to ensure the commitments that the Company has at a global level with the environment and sustainability.

The location of the new plant is strategically situated to further optimize its supply capacity , reducing transportation efforts for packaging, in line with its sustainability and sustainability commitments.

Committed to the communities where it operates, through this project, it is estimated that Heineken Mexico will generate more than 120 direct jobs, once the plant is operating and around 150 direct temporary jobs during the construction process.

For 131 years, the brewery has stood out for its innovative DNA, which has been an important pillar in the implementation of strategies to optimize its operations and, at the same time, promote respect for the environment, as well as to foster a spirit of continuous collaboration, such as has happened with Chihuahua by sharing the same sustainable vision and commitment to its community.

It is important to remember that the brewery located in Meoqui is considered the most sustainable in the world of the company at a global level , as it has been a pioneer in circularity and waste management since it treats or recycles 100% of it.

The opening of this facility to manufacture cans is a clear example that for Heineken Mexico , the commitment and trust in the country, specifically in Chihuahua, the consumers and all the people involved in this project, is tangible and long-term.
