The construction of the Ikano Industry production plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila , is 90% complete , so it is expected that by the second quarter of this year the construction phase will be completed and operations will begin.

The company of Swedish origin  acquired a 78-hectare plot of land in Ramos Arizpe to start up a factory of foam-based comfort products . The site is located in the Chuy María Industrial Park of Grupo Amistad.

“We are 90% to completion of the Ikano Industry Mexico built-to-suit project of 1.2 million square feet. It will be ready by the beginning of the second quarter of 2021 ”, reported Amistad Desarrolladores Industriales.

From here, Ikano Industry will produce mattresses and sofas for IKEA stores in the United States. The company expects to manufacture 950,000 foam mattresses , 750,000 spring mattresses and 1 million upholstered units in the next eight years .

Currently, they have 79 employees, but they expect to employ 2,000 people  when they start their production processes.

According to information from Ikano Industry , there will be a foam recycling process center, where Repoliol will be obtained as a result, which is then used to produce a flexible foam, which is one of the main components of its products.

In addition, they will have a research center to find new ways to recycle products more efficiently.
