Jalisco and Italy intend to strengthen their economic alliances, generate and detect new business opportunities, through improving their cooperation ties.
For this reason, Luigi De Chiara, Italian Ambassador to Mexico, Luigi De Chiara, met with Ernesto Sánchez Proal, Secretary of Economic Development of Jalisco (Sedeco), to establish the strategies of this agreement.
The head of Sedeco presented to the ambassador the state's interest in attracting private Italian capital for the clean energy sector and the opportunities that Jalisco offers for it; they also showed the inclination to carry out a trade mission within the next 12 months.
For this year, a virtual seminar was agreed for Italian companies in the automotive sector and another with companies in the advanced manufacturing and high technology sector, in order to publicize the strengths of the state for those who are interested in starting operations in Jalisco as a strategy to enter the North American market.
This meeting was followed by a virtual meeting held by the Italian ambassador and the head of Sedeco in November 2020. Also present were the Honorary Consul of Italy in Guadalajara, Fabio Toticchi and Flavio Sereni, head of the Economic Office - Comercial and Mónica Sánchez Torres, general director of International Affairs in Jalisco.
