Le Bélier invests $ 68 million in SMA; begins the construction of its plant

With an investment of 68 million dollars and generation of 500 jobs when it reaches its maximum capacity, Le Bélier began the construction of its new plant in San Miguel de Allende,  which is expected to be inaugurated  in the second quarter of 2022.

The French company, which is specialized in the manufacture of molded aluminum components for the automotive sector , will be located in the second stage of the San Miguel de Allende Business Park .

David Guffroy, CEO of Grupo Le Bélier, announced that this plant will be the benchmark for all the group's production facilities and will implement its own foundry school, becoming the first in the state of Guanajuato.

In addition, it will have production lines that will work in an automated way , so it will be an example of Industry 4.0.

In its first stage, they will build on 23,500 square meters of surface , in addition they will mainly supply the North American market.

"The main mission of the company is to be a green company that helps to improve the quality of life of Guanajuato and the world, focused on the attention of its end customers, collaborators and the community in general," he commented.

He said that this plant was conceived as a community project where they will work in coordination with the Technological Institute of San Miguel de Allende and institutes such as the State Training Institute (IECA) to develop and train the plant's human capital.

Present at the event were Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, governor of the state of Guanajuato; Ange Karl Rasidy, CEO of Le Bélier México ; Jesús Gonzalo González, interim mayor of San Miguel de Allende, among other special guests.
