Marelli seeks to open a plant in Mexico; Aguascalientes is an option

Marelli, manufacturer of systems and components for the automotive industry, is looking for a place to install its new plant in Mexico. 

To do this, company executives held meetings with representatives of the Aguascalientes government, according to information from the state.

Bharat Vennapapusa, CEO of the Thermal Systems Business Unit and global executive vice president of Marelli , held a meeting with representatives of the government of this state to thank and let them know the benefits that the company has had by being in this region.

In this dialogue, it was reported that the company plans a new investment to have a manufacturing plant in the country , and Aguascalientes is among the entities that could choose to install its factory.

The Marelli  manager commented that this state is key to invest, as it has a good qualified workforce, which has the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to the development of the company; therefore, he emphasized the interest in continuing with the synergies already established.

It should be noted that this company installed its corporate offices and its Customer Service Center in Aguascalientes , located in Parque Tres Centurias .

As of today, the Italian company has around 3,400 workers , who focus on the development of new technologies, systems and components for the automotive industry.
