Nissan Aguascalientes Plant A1, proud manufacturer of the 2021 Nissan Kicks model

Proud of the good results they have achieved by combining the best of Japanese engineering with the excellence of national manufacturing, this Thursday morning, Nissan  introduced the 2021 model of Nissan Kicks .

This vehicle has been produced in Mexico since 2016, at Nissan Aguascalientes Plant A1 , and is manufactured in the hydrocalida plant in three grades and four versions: Advance (TM / CVT), Exclusive (CVT) and for the first time in this model the grade Platinum (CVT).

With a 1.6-liter Nissan HR16DE engine , manufactured at the Powertrain plant in Aguascalientes, Nissan Kicks 2021 maintains the excellent performance of its 118 horsepower while, at the same time, it continues to provide fuel efficiency thanks to its four-cylinder engine.

“This project had an investment of 44 million dollars, of which 19.5 million dollars were invested in supply, 8.6 million dollars in the design and development of the product and 5.8 million in the investment that was made in the plant and project ”, Highlighted Luciana Herrmann, director of corporate communication at Nissan Mexicana

During his official presentation by Moisés Bárcenas, Senior Marketing Manager, Nissan Mexicana and special guests, he highlighted that the new version of the car had a comprehensive transformation in comfort and design.

It was also the first Nissan vehicle in the region to incorporate the global vision of the brand: Nissan IntelligentMobility , through which it seeks to transform the way in which vehicles are driven, driven and integrated into society.

"We are very proud to present in Mexico the new Nissan Kicks 2021 , our compact crossover that today arrives reinforced, adding a series of new elements of safety, technology, connectivity, comfort and design, while maintaining those attributes that characterize it as its efficiency of fuel, making it the perfect ally for the urban driving context, "said José Román, president and CEO of Nissan Mexicana and NIBU.

Luciana Herrmann indicated that Nissan Kicks has been a success story for the Japanese automaker since its launch, which has been reflected in the placement of 80,000 units in recent years, reaching 570,000 customers .

"Mexico is in the top five of its segment, being one of the best-selling models," he concluded.
