The projects that were completed in the industrial market of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, during 2020, reached an absorption of one million 184,584 square feet, according to the Market Report Fourth Quarter 2020, prepared by the Binational Council for the Economic Development of Reynosa ( Cobifer).

Developers of industrial parks, brokers and representatives of the State and Reynosa governments held a meeting with Cobifer to give continuity to the issues and projects that are contemplated in the matter of market absorption.

Luis Cantú, president of Cobifer, commented: "Both the developers and the brokers of the various industrial parks provide us with information that allows us to know about new projects, availability of new properties and constructions."

During the presentation of the results, Ingrid Ulloa Luna, Cobifer's director of operations, explained that the absorption corresponds to companies that have decided to expand their operations in one of the industrial parks located in the various areas of the city.

In the eastern zone, during the fourth quarter of 2020, the IIMAK Mexicana projects were completed in the Reynosa Industrial Park with 78,000 square feet, while in the Colonial Industrial Park the TI Group project with 80,000 square feet was closed, giving a total of 158,000 square feet.

In the western area of Reynosa, the Villa Florida Industrial Park, the Northern Industrial Park and the Magic Valley industrial zone are located.

The Hydro company completed 35,000 square feet in December in the Villa Florida Industrial Park. In the Parque Industrial del Norte, the Ametek company absorbed 70,000 square feet, and in the Magic Valley industrial zone the market absorption of ESP Reynosa with 40,000 square feet and Weatherford with 30,000 square feet was registered; giving a total of 175,000 square feet.

Another expansion took place in the Northwest area of Reynosa in the Maquilpark Industrial Park with the SMP company that absorbed 25,208 square feet.

“This is the last compilation of the year 2020; some projects such as the one carried out by NIDEC in the Villa Florida Industrial Park and a new warehouse in the Reynosa Industrial Park are still under construction, although good progress can be seen in the work ”, highlighted Ingrid Ulloa.

It is estimated that in the first quarter of 2021 other projects will be generated that will be presented in April or May of this year.
