Smurfit Kappa will invest 23.6 million dollars in Tamaulipas

The company Smurfit Kappa announced that it will invest 26.3 million dollars in an expansion project of its plant located in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, with the installation of the first corrugator in the state.

César Solís, general manager of Smurfit Kappa in Tamaulipas, highlighted that it is the largest investment of the North American division of this company.

The investment in this plant –located in the Oradel Industrial Park– will generate 50 new formal jobs , which is the result of the trust that has been generated in the industry to continue growing in Tamaulipas. 

With this investment, the company ratifies its confidence in Tamaulipas and points out the need for more supplies for development, which will be reflected in a positive economic dynamic for the municipality in which it is located. 

Company executives received state economic development authorities to show the growth and benefits that Smurfit Kappa Plant Nuevo Laredo provides to the city and its customers in the region.

Smurfit Kappa understands the importance of products being packaged and protected in the most efficient and economical way.
