The Marabis Group is a developer and builder of industrial parks that has been consolidated in Guanajuato. It is in the municipality of Irapuato, Guanajuato, where the Marabis Castro del Río Park has positioned itself as one of the most important at the state and regional level, in addition Marabis has other parks located in the municipalities of Abasolo and Comonfort.

In an interview, Vanessa Cordero, general director of Desarrolladora Marabis, announced that, after several years of planning, analysis and corresponding procedures, the Marabis Castro del Río Park will reach its sixth stage of growth, this, as part of the plans of expansion that have been carried out throughout its 15 years since its foundation.

Currently, this industrial complex has 95 companies , from countries such as Germany, Japan, China, the United States and France.

Will be 150 hectares which will grow this park, which means the arrival of more investments and sources of employment.

In addition, as part of the nearshoring strategies, this sixth stage will focus on attracting new foreign capital investments in order to generate more jobs thanks to this new business modality in Mexico.

There will be around 50 companies that could settle in this new space, which will generate approximately 15,000 jobs , in a period of five to seven years; direct jobs in addition to the 22,500 currently held in Marabis Castro del Río.

At the beginning of 2023, this sixth stage will be ready, which will have industrial services at the foot of the lot and roads like the rest of the park.

WORLDWIDE QUALITY

For Vanessa Cordero, it is important to be aware that the ecosystem within which the park is located changes continuously depending on the growth of the industry, as well as the different sectors that may be detonated in the area and in the park itself, but also on the growth of the population.

“Whenever a park grows, you can adjoin areas such as rivers, communities, public roads, etc., and it is here where risks and opportunities are evaluated to generate internal security strategies to grant certainty in the operation of our clients in the long term. ”He commented.

In Marabis Castro del Río, various strategies have been established, such as the future installation of a delegation of the preventive police and civil protection of Irapuato, which will serve the northern part of the municipality.

For some years, a radio communication system was implemented with the tenants of the three industrial parks and they are linked to the integrated security radio system in each industrial complex, for this, a base radio was donated that is linked directly and immediately to C4 of the municipality of Irapuato.

This is part of the Safe Park Certification issued by the Mexican Association of Industrial Parks (AMPIP) and validates that the complex has security practices based on the international Authorized Economic Operator standard. It is the first and only park in Guanajuato certified as a Safe Industrial Park by AMPIP.

This certification is based on the AEO certification, applied to exporting companies. This risk analysis will be carried out every year, in order to adapt it to the changes and growth of the industrial park.

ENERGY GENERATION PROJECT

After the demand of the companies installed in the Marabis Castro del Río Park for having greater certainty, quality and savings in the use of electrical energy, a project is carried out in order to find a more competitive and self-sustainable option for power generation.

Variations in voltage could affect the operation of an industrial plant and, given the growth of this park, it is feasible to review another alternative to acquire this service.

For this, customers who request it, must comply with certain requirements that the law determines to be able to be supplied with this type of electrical energy.

This project will provide more security to tenants for their operations within the park, as it will serve as an alternative to the already existing national network.
